The Flieger shows darkness no quarter. Five light intensities, ranging from 1 lumen, to 720 lumens, provide as much or as little light as you need. Equipped with a warm white Light Emitting Diode for superior brightness and color, this is the brightest electric torch ever offered by Muyshondt, and one you can really turn up to 11.
The Flieger brings together the clean, classic design expression pioneered with the Aeon Mk. III and Maus Mk. I, into a new form with a monocoque case. Designed to be exceptionally strong – with no point of failure or thermal isolation at a head juncture, and shrouds surrounding the bezel and tailcap, the design provides a high degree of strength and performance while exuding a bold, powerful design aesthetic.

The Flieger continues this tradition. With a staggering 400 hours maximum runtime on its lowest setting, and over 2 hours at 500 lumens, the Flieger delivers versatile output choices with very generous runtime off of a Muyshondt MPC-18650P Power Cell.
Capable of running on two CR123 primaries, one 18650 lithium-ion cell, or two 18350 lithium-ion cells, the Flieger’s light engine is adaptable to a wide range of available power plants for long runtimes, while producing a stunningly bright beam, and retaining a size that, while larger than any previous Muyshondt torch, remains among the smallest in its battery class.
6AL4V Titanium Construction
The metal of the Titans. Strong and lightweight - the highest strength to weight ratio of any metal on Earth - difficult to machine, exceptionally durable, and capable of withstanding the toughest situations you can throw at it.
The Flieger marks the inception of a new monocoque case design, created to optimize thermal conductivity and strength. There is no "head" on this design, and the only removable part is the tailcap. What results is a more even distribution of heat across the torch body - allowing for higher light output without overheating - as well as improved strength.
Double-AR Coated Sapphire Crystal Lens
Sapphire Crystal. Extremely scratch resistant, coming in at 9 on the Mohs Scale (diamonds are 10), and coated on each side with an Anti-Reflective (AR) coating to help transmit more photons.
Smooth turning, durable threading is important. Traditionally, threads are cut with V shaped points - ours are cut with a trapezoidal profile instead, removing easily dented edges - making for smoother rotation, and much more durable threads.
A parabola is custom cut for the LED in the Flieger, then coated with a highly reflective surface by evaporating metal and condensing it onto the surface of the curve. A light orange peel finish ensures that the beam is smooth and well shaped.
Five-Intensity Light Engine
Light output is controlled simply: Click on, half-push to switch between modes. Click off. Very easy, very fast mode cycling for an excellent user experience, with fully regulated light outputs of 1 (400 hours), 25 (43 Hours), 100 (15:45), 500 (2:10), and a 720 (2:00) lumen turbo mode.
Gold Plated Electrical Contacts
Highly conductive and highly inert, gold plated electronics ensure good electrical connections in all parts of the light, making sure more energy is converted to light instead of heat.
O-Ring Sealed, Water Resistant
Custom O-Rings seal all junctures of the torch - keeping everything inside secure.
Capped with a titanium pushbutton and easy to activate, the tailswitch on the Flieger conveniently and effectively allows you to operate the light one-handed.
Warm White, High Output Light Emitting Diode
To achieve the level of performance in the Flieger, it was designed with an LED in warm white - providing impressively high output, while still giving a rich depth of color to the beam.
Versatile Power Plant
The Flieger Light Engine is capable of accommodating a wide range of battery types - two CR123 cells, two 18350 cells, or a single protected 18650 battery (available from Muyshondt).
