We like working with leather. It's beautiful, durable, and has a character to it that is unlike any other material. It changes with time. It molds to your uses. It tells a story. The smell, the feel, the look, are all unique unto itself.

When we set out years ago to create a series of leather goods to accompany our Electric Torches, we did a deep dive into the material - we tried shoes, boots, bags, gloves, and many other items to see how it felt, how it behaved, and familiarized ourselves with the intricacies of the medium.

There are many tanneries around the world, but selecting the leather for a Muyshondt product was not difficult. Horween Shell Cordovan is one of the best leathers on Earth - aged for a minimum of six months, and used in the finest footwear. Shell Cordovan is a material that will last multiple lifetimes, and we're proud to be able to offer protective accessories for our Electric Torches made from it.

Inspired by the monocoque design of our Beagle and Flieger Electric Torches, these holsters are cut from a single piece of Horween Shell Cordovan leather, requiring the longest available hides. Each is carefully accented with signed Muyshondt hardware in copper, then sewn with a dark vegetable tanned leather liner on the interior to provide a smooth, protective surface around the torch contained inside. It snaps easily over a belt and will serve as a reliable companion, becoming form fit to your Electric Torch and developing a patina unique to your adventures with time and use.
