Much has been written about Yosemite - and indeed, paeans to the grandeur of its cliffs, valleys, waterfalls, and trees are accurate. This photograph was an unexpected stroke of good luck - we wandered into a quiet clearing with not a soul around, with one tree standing distinct among the rest, set in front of the repose of glowing granite cliffs.
